David Evans joined the practice in 2003 and qualified as a solicitor in 2006. David has experience of all aspects of planning law, including applications, appeals, certificates of lawfulness, planning agreements, enforcement and environmental impact assessment. He was the instructing solicitor in a successful reported High Court challenge to an Inspector’s appeal decision turning on the interpretation of the permitted development rules. As a result of this the losing party has now instructed us on their subsequent planning matters!
Geoffrey Searle has over 40 years of experience in the field of town and country planning. His CV includes stints in local government as well as building up and running the largest planning law team in the country at Denton Hall (now SNR Denton). He founded Geoffrey Searle Planning Solicitors in 1994. Since then projects have ranged from large and complex office, retail, leisure, mixed use and residential developments to small scale household development issues.
